Yea that pretty much sums up my mood for the past few days. I don' t know what has gotten into me, but watch out if you piss me off...yea and my language stinks to and I NEVER NEVER curse. Sigh. Today it was the daycare center that got me going. Jason better watch out because the days not over and he is the only poor soul awake in our house :)
The lovely day care center---Their idea of passing along important papers it to stick them in the child's box with all the dirty sippy cups and dished you are to take home...most of the time they are wet and sticky from leaky cups so they get pitched. Well today I get a call from the director tell me that I am 2 days past due for her yearly physical/shot update. Okay so I will get it done when she has her 15 month well baby on Thursday...no big deal...though I don't plan on giving all the shots so I'm sure I'll hear about that too but that's a whole different ball of wax. So, I ignore her snotty tone of voice and go on with my day. Fast forward to 4:30 when I pick Mackenzie up. The director is waiting for me by the door, and proceeds to follow me to her classroom tell me the same crap she did before with the same crappy tone of voice. I again tell her it will be done Thursday. I did suggest that maybe the form was given to my husband or mother-in-law one of the times that they picked her up. Now her voiced is raised and she states "I personally handed you that form on January 24th!" "...I will give you two copies so that you don't loose it this time." First off January 24th was a Thursday and Mackenzie does not go to day care on Thursday, second I remember it being in her box not handed to me and it got tossed because it was gross and sticky. Yes I did forget to ask for a new form and it was not in on time, but why in the world would you wait until two days after it was overdue to tell me about it. Mackenzie was at daycare last week and also her normal days today. My grandfather would be proud, but I promptly when home and filled out a suggestion form stating that full time working parents have much more on their plates than remembering to fill out forms for their child's daycare center. I suggested that they actually hand you the form and explain it's importance...the last thing I have time for or think of each day is "what must I do for daycare now." It it takes more that 10 seconds to read, it's not going to be done plain and simple...I just don't have time. This whole seen took place in front of 3 other children's parents and the daycare workers. GRRR... She stated before I left with Mackenzie that I must bring her the forms on Thursday after Mackenzie's appointment, yea right...I told her I would not make a special trip back because it was not convenient and would bring her the forms on Friday when Mackenzie goes back to daycare and then walked out without a response. Oh Mackenzie is going to get kicked out of daycare :)
Ugh...I'm so ready to just pick up and move to a deserted island. I swear I could have slapped some people today. Maybe I need to take up boxing :) Lets pray tomorrow is better :)
On a better note I actually took a step towards what I hope to be permanent weight loss....Public Humiliation, better known as Weight Watchers. I hope it works, no it NEEDS to work. My BP is higher than it has ever been, though still WNL. But higher than I would like, temps been higher than normal, mood has been poor (haha not that it's not apparent), and I just generally feel crappy. So, I'm going to give it all I've got.
Fingers hurt from typing and teeth hurt from gritting....I need a bath :)

I can't believe we did it...
Yea that's right...we just talked to a Realtor and put the house up for sale. The contract is signed and the sign is in the yard. So, why is it that I feel guilty and not excited??? We have a beautiful piece of land and the change to build the house we have both always dreamed of. But I'm not excited in the least bit...just feeling oh so guilty. Sigh... I don't think that anything will happen quickly as the housing market is really poor. But there always is that chance that the right person might happen our way quicker than we expected. I guess I will say a prayer and what is meant to happen will. We do have a lot of work to do to get the house ready for people to look at it. We have to get rid of all the clutter we have laying around and just make the house more presentable. That is going to be a tough task with a 15 month old running wild. Especially when her favorite task is tearing all the clothing out of the drawers. Plus we need to organize and downsize all the toys we have covering our living room. I guess we will spend the next few months cleaning the house like crazy people...maybe we will learn to be neat and tidy...hahaha fat chance.
Miss Mackenzie is just as crazy and fun as ever. Her little toddler personality is out if full force. She is the most opinionated little girl I have ever met. I think we are going to be in trouble when she hits her terrible twos!!! It is fun watching her little personality shine and watching her explore her world. She absolutely loves to be outside. She enjoys running up and down the drive; going for walks; playing in her sand/water table; and swinging in her swing. She would spend all day outside if we would let her. She has learned how to go up and down the stairs on her own and how to get off of the porch on her own as well. Blowing bubbles, well putting the bubble wand in her mouth and blowing is quickly becoming a favorite game. I have given her sidewalk chalk, she has not quite figured out what to do with it, but she does make a few marks here and there on the garage floor. Mackenzie had her first fat lip this past weekend. While learning how to climb down the stairs she got a bit too excited that she was doing it and face planted onto the concrete!!! Her poor little lip and nose were all scraped up. She is looking better now. I tried to get a picture of her first booboo, but I couldn't get her to stand still long enough...hey she might miss something if she is not in CONSTANT motion :)
Enjoying the spring weather
Swinging on the porch swing
Looking cute
Come on Mom!!!
Better look both ways :)
Lets go!

Sigh...will she ever be healthy again?
I know that we are blessed to just be dealing with normal cold and flu type illnesses as I know that many people deal with many more health issues than we do, but I'm am at my wits end dealing with the never ending bugs with Mackenzie. I swear if she was completely germ free for more than a day or two I would have to take her to the hospital because I would worry that something was wrong. This time around we seem to be dealing with the mystery fever again...though she does have quite a runny nose this time. Thank goodness it is not at high this go around...it hovered around 99 degrees all afternoon. Though the poor little thing did throw up in the middle of the night sometime last night...I don't do puke especially at 6:30 in the morning. I think it was probably more from her screaming about not wanting to go to sleep last night more than being ill...but that has never happened before. I did not give her Tylenol because it was manageable without...poor thing is going to have to go through DT's if we keep pumping her up with Tylenol :) I think that teething could be at the bottom of this "illness" but you can never be sure. I refrained from rushing her to the pediatrician this time...they probably think I'm some crazy overprotective mother with Munchhausen syndrome :) Plus she has a nasty looking bruise on her cheek...She must want people to thing she is beaten!!! Her poor little nose is also all red and chapped...she could easily pass for Rudolph's little sister. I've tried just about everything I can think of to help ease up chapped nose, but nothing is working. I think I will need a drink soon if the clingy/whinny/screaming doesn't stop. Poor thing I know she feels awful and all I can do is think how nice it would be if she would just shut up. Sigh
Even with feeling crappy she is still trying to be a sweet little lady. She is now blowing kisses and making kissy noises when you ask for a kiss. She still won't give you a kiss, but she will blow you one :) She has also taken a liking to dancing when ever there is music playing or even if you just say "Dancing baby dancing baby" I need to catch her dance on video, it is so cute. While she and I were enjoying our sick day she found a new fun game...racing around the kitchen pushing her little walker toy...now she can't play this game alone...I must also run around the kitchen pushing one of her toys. We must look quite the site running around the kitchen...maybe I should try crawling on my knees...it would be more my height that way :) Then things we do to entertain our kids :) It had to be near 40 minutes we played like this before she crashed and took a 3 hour nap...yea 3 whole hours...that is a record for her :) She's been busy learning new things...she can now also shake her head no when she does not want something (okay so she shakes her head no at EVERYTHING); blew bubbles in the bath tonight for the first time; can say YUCK...though sometimes it sounds a little more like the Y is replaced with a F...just what a little girl should be saying; and she can independently remove her own diaper in 2 seconds flat. I'm sure there is more, but my poor brain needs sleep.
By the end of this week I will completely be med free!!! I'm excited to not have to take any medications other than my daily vitamin. I does mean a little more work for me in some sence, but I am really ready to be done with both of my meds.
I found this while searching around the web today...puts things in perspective on a day where I'm frustrated with all things that have to do with being a parent :)
They're only little once.
Grant me the wisdom to guide them down the path that their feet should take.
For I know that they can never turn back and walk those paths with me again.
Give me the wisdom to guide their feet so that someday they'll be able to walk alone.
They're only little once.
Give me the time I need to enjoy them.
For I know that after they're grown, I'll never have another chance to tell stories and pretend at those tea parties.
I'll never have another chance to watch them in a school play or sing in church, or to see them catch that first fish or score that first goal or hit that first home run ball.
Give me the time in life's busy schedule to have fun with my children.
They're only little once.
Let me be a loving parent.
Let me correct and not just punish, explain and not merely scold.
Let me know when to correct, and how often, and when it's best to just look the other way.
Help me be patient and give me a gentle hand to mould them into better people.
They're only little once.
Let me be a good teacher and an even better example.
Give me the right words and deeds to teach them.
Help me to teach them about You and how to walk in Your ways so that when they are old they will not depart from Your ways.
For they're only little one time, only innocent and trusting and pliable for a space of time, one minute in an eternity.
Let me do my best for them while I have the chance.
Amen

Busy weekend, fussy baby...
What a busy but fun weekend. Mackenzie and I had a girl's weekend with my mom. It was nice to be away and to visit with mom. We when to Columbus for the Equine Affair. Mackenzie seemed to enjoy looking at all the horses, though she enjoyed climbing the steps outside one of the buildings even more. Silly girl. We got her an adorable sweatshirt that says "Ride'em cowgirl" with a little stick horse on the front and a little t-shirt that just has a cute cartoon horse embroidered on it. We also got her an Ariate(sp) jacket because I managed to forget her jacket in the house and it was FREEZING this weekend. Of course because we were visiting with my family Mackenzie was sick/fussy/teething...who knows and was a super fussy today. Someday my family will see her without her being sick...sigh. Made for a long night last night. She was up at 2:30am and then again for good around 5:30am, fussing and crying the whole time. She was running a bit of a temp, but I'm not sure what the cause was. I'm so tired of her being sick. If it's not one thing it is another.
I need to get better about going back home to visit. I want so badly for Mackenzie to see all of her grandparents and get to spend time with them, but we always seem to run out of weekends to travel up there. We will be up there more often this summer with Jessica's wedding coming up in July. But after that we really need to make a better effort at going up there. She is getting to the age where she is starting to be fearful of people and I will be heart broken is she becomes afraid or weary of my mom and dad.
I think my little lady just might be a pony girl. She really seemed to like that horses that we saw this weekend. She pointed and waved her arms around while they were working in the arena. I drove by our land today. I hadn't been past it in well over a year...see it really makes me wish that we were getting ready to build our house. The realtor is coming this Thursday to look at the house and give us sugestions on what we need to do to get it sold. So, we will what happens.
Miss Mackenzie has officially become a mommy's girl. For the first time in her little life she has been stuck to my leg all weekend. While it was cute at first...it is grating on the nerves when everytime you attempt to do something she is screaming her little head off and wanting to be picked up. I like that she wants to be with me, but I do hope this clingy fussy whinny stage passes quickly...I like my independent baby girl!!!

How can this really be this fun :)
I'm just in awe at how much I am enjoying being a mom. If someone would have told me how wonderful motherhood was just a bit over a year ago I would have laughed right then and there. Yea there are days when I want to rip my hair out and when I wonder what I have gotten myself into, but those days don't last long. When Jason and I got married I wasn't sure if I ever wanted a child. In fact a few weeks before the wedding I told Jason he shouldn't marry me because I knew he wanted kids and I though deep in my heart that I did not. Glad he decided to stick it out :) I've got baby fever like no other right now. This is quite a new feeling for me!!! We got pregnant with Mackenzie before I got a chance to really get excited about trying for a baby. But right now we need to wait a while longer before we try for number two. First I don't want to be pregnant for my little sisters wedding and second I really need to get my weight under some type of control. We have talked about how many kids we want. Originally we thought for sure we would only want two, but now we are considering maybe 3. We will see though. I think we are both a bit surprised at how much we truely love being parents.
Today was a fun day with Mackenzie. Be it only 2 hours I had a chance to play with her, we had a good time. She absolutly loves being outside. So when we got home from dinner she ran around all over the yard. We have some dafodils poping up so I picked her one. She thought that was the best thing in the world...especially smashing it to pieces :) She definatly loves to get dirty. Along with ripping up grass, smashing the flower, and running around in the mud she decided she would play with the dirt in one of my empty flower planters. I thought she would dig for a second, but before I knew it she found a plastic spoon and was digging with it. It didn't take long before she tossed the spoon and went at it with both hands. She had dirt everywhere...she even thought she should taste a little bit. I wish I had my camera. Got to love my little tom boy :)

Finally some spring weather...
Got to love this beautiful warm weather. We have spent the past 4 days outside just enjoying the warm weather. Miss Mackenzie just loves to be outside. She goes crazy exploring everything she can get her little hands on. Tonight she played with two small branchs off of the tree we were trimming for almost 45 minutes. We have so much yard work to do this spring. The grass is a MESS and so is our landscaping. I like it to look nice, but I HATE gardening. I need to just plant grass all the way up to the house :) I think we need to add more dirt/mulch to the front beds. I think it is a never ending job!!
I'm hoping to have a Mother's Day brunch this year just like we did last year. It was really nice to have everyone over for the day. I can't believe this will be my second Mother's day. Maybe having people over will motivate us to get the yard and house cleaned up. We spend a good deal of the day Sunday spring cleaning and we only got Mackenzie's room and our bedroom completely done!!! I got part of the spare bedroom done, but I still have a long way to go. I think that we also are going to try and get the family room to look more like a family room and not just a dog room. We really waste a whole lot of our house the way it is now.

Putting away baby items...
So it took me 14 months to do it, but we turned off the baby monitor tonight and turned on her big girl night light. Sigh... We have not been going into her room at night for about 2 months now, but it was comforting to know I could just turn the receiver in our room on and hear her...even if she was just sleeping soundly. I know if she needs me I will here her cry...she is just across the hallway. That was really the last piece of true baby equipment, other than the crib that we were consistently using with her. We are just about done with the bottle. The only time she takes one is at night. The only reason we have not cut that out is because she is not a big fan of milk, except for at night right before bed. We have not used the swing, bouncy seat, walker, jumper, boppy pillow in many months. All those things have made their way into our basement. She does enjoy playing with the bouncy seat when she is "helping" with the laundry. I can't believe how fast my baby girl is growing up. But I must say that I absolutely love this age. We played outside for 3 whole hours today. She had a blast running around the yard, being bashful with our neighbors, and sitting in the mud in our flower garden...no prissy girl around here. As soon as I raked the leaves out of the flower bed she promptly stomped in and plopped down in the mud...looked pleased as could be. I wish my camera had new batteries...it would have been a good picture. We got her a new swing today. We attempted to put it up in our tree, but we need to do a bit of adjusting before she can swing properly. I had intended on getting her a sandbox, but had the small car and it would not fit. So, before too long hopefully we will have a chance to get her one. I think she will have a good time with that. She loves the sand and water table we have for her. Not sure what she will do with sand though...we have substituted with other things like oatmeal and cornflakes :) We also got her some sidewalk chalk and bubbles today. She loved the chalk, but not for coloring...rather she thought it made a good snack YUCK!!! So we put the chalk up for now. This summer should be so much fun. There are lots of little kids in the neighborhood, so hopefully we can have mini play dates with them this summer.
Off the topic of baby growing up...Mackenzie got in trouble for the first time at day care this past week. I guess she slapped her favorite teacher and also was slapping some of the smaller infants in the room. She had been slapping us at home, but not going after others outside of our home. We are finding it difficult to find an appropriate discipline method for a 14 month old. We both agree that she really does not understand that she is hurting people, but more that she is just getting a reaction. But all in all she can't go around smacking helpless little babies! We are trying to teach her to touch gentle, but we're having mixed results. Guess it is just going to take time. At least I guess she is not biting...well at least not yet!!! Oh boy, my little girl is going to be a bully :)

TGIF
It's been a long week and darn it, it's not over yet! I hate working on Saturday. Hopefully it is nice out later in the day so Mackenzie and I can go outside. It's fun watching her explore the outside. She like to try and visit our neighbors across the street. They have not been out much, but she still likes to stand in their driveway and yell what I'm guessing is her greeting :) She chatters a bunch, but rarely says any understandable words. It's like she has her own language that no one else is privy to. I'm anxious for her to talk, but then I will probably want her to be quiet :) I think she will be a chatterbox as she gets older! She did say "Yuck" though it sounded more like a foul word I hope she never says but, it was cute. She thought she would chew on the top of the hairspray bottle...I'm sure it tasted gross!
We are planning on spending the weekend, well after I get off of work, cleaning the house and decluttering. We have called a Realtor and have a meeting with her the 17th of this month. I'm excited, but at the same time worried that we won't be able to get enough to actually sell this house. Plus I'm not sure where we will live while our new house is being built. I am also afraid of all the hidden costs of building. If we are going to build, I want to make sure that we can build the house we want with all the extras we want too. We don't want anything too extravagant, but I want tile floors and granite counters. So, I have been working PRN every Wed. to help save up some extra money so that we can have those little extras. So we will see. The housing market is still awful around here, so we really are not expecting anything big. We don't want to wait so long that the price of building continues to go up to the point it is out of reach. We would also like to have the new house by the time we have a second little one. So, we will be keeping our fingers crossed and just see what happens.
