Bummed...

...I don't want to go back to work tomorrow. I have enjoyed my time home with the girls way too much, it just goes to show me how much I am missing. I feel like I work my life away Mon-Fri and then scramble to fit 7 days worth of time into 2 days. It's not right, I hate it and really feel like I'm at the point that I would do just about anything to not work full time. I've said it before that I really don't regret anything I've done in my life because all the experience has made me who I am, but I'm beginning to regret working my life away. I love my house, it's the home I have dreamed of since I was little, and I like our newer cars, and going to dinner/away as we please...but honestly, is it worth it all? I just don't know anymore. Tonight I'm wishing that I would have stayed put in our old house and not built the new one. I know it's much to late to change that, but I can't help wishing. I find myself thinking of the things we could give up, change, do without to tighten the budget...but I've ran this through my head for over a year, and I honestly don't know where to start. I know that once baby #3 gets here that my wish to be home more will be even worse..it's gotten worse with each baby...but then with each baby the need for me to work is greater! I just need to become independently wealthy :) It's fun to dream I guess...

Pool Fun..

Fun times with daddy :)

Princess "slippers" and goggles...all ready for a day at the pool

Busy fun day at our local swim club. I love that both the girls LOVE the water. Mackenzie is becoming quite the little swimmer, though it does scare me a little how fearless she really is! I really do need to get her some proper swim lessons. She insists she knows how to swim "really really good", but would like her to be a little stronger in the water. Brooklynn prefers a quieter pool and gets a little more adventurous when it's not so busy. I'm sure before too long she will be swimming just like her sis! I hate that I don't get to join them in the water this summer :( But there is always next year.

Crazy girls :)

That pretty much sums up life with Mackenzie and Brooklynn lately. The summer weather much have given them even more energy. Even with the bad weather and storms this summer they have enjoyed swimming, playing in the mud that we call our yard, collecting rocks (yea our poor children have resorted to collecting rock with our lack of yard and things to do outside), and even playing at the park a few times. Mackenzie is becoming quiet the little swimmer. She is too brave for my liking...I really do need to get her into some swimming lessons. She has become such a big girl this summer. I can't believe that she will be have in just over 6 months. Brooklynn has become quite the little stinker! She is stubborn and sneaky...how did that happen to my sweet little girl? She is still sweet as ever, but goodness you know when something is not to her liking. She likes to point at you and say "No, no, no!" and walk away and do what ever it is that she's not supposed to be doing. We've had our first experiences of sisterly fighting! I'm sure it is just a sign of what is to come. Thankfully they still seem to love each other more than screaming at each other! Hopefully I will get some pictures up here in soon!

Mother's Day

a little late :) I had the most wonderful Mother's Day. I could not have asked for a better day. Jason made me breakfast in bed and for the first time pretty much since Brooklynn was born I got to eat nearly all of my meal without interruption :) We spent the entire day around the house and the best part was just to be at home together. Mackenzie and I planted seeds for the garden I hope to have and planting gifts for Mackenzie's Great-Grandma's. The farmer who is helping us with the yard got our yard disked and ready for the next step! I can not wait to have a real yard!

Some new pictures :)

19 weeks already

This pregnancy is flying by so much faster than the other two. We had our ultrasound yesterday. Baby weighed about 9oz and the heart rate was 138bpm. Baby looked good, though he/she was being rather uncooperative. Every time the ultrasound tech tried to get a measurement baby would roll like crazy to get away from her. Both Mackenzie and Brooklynn were always still during their ultrasounds...we never saw more than an arm or leg move just a little. Funny thing is that I almost never feel this baby...I feel a few flutter here and there, but nothing consistent yet. We didn't find out the sex of the baby....I wanted to know, but Jason wanted to wait. So we didn't find out...though I'm nearly certain it's another girl, I looked pretty closely and didn't see any boy parts. Maybe I'll still be surprised, but I doubt it.

Brooklynn has found her personality and she's a little stinker. She makes this "mean" face and then just laughs like crazy. I haven't gotten a good picture of the "mean" face yet, but I'm trying. She is a billy goat just like Mackenzie and climbs on anything and everything she can. Her favorite place it on top of the kitchen table...the girl has always enjoyed being a table decoration! She is starting to talk more...though she often sounds like she is speaking German.

Mackenzie has been doing so much better behaviorally! We are using a star chart and a marble jar and even though we have "sassy days" we are having more good days than not! In fact in about a month she has only had one day where she lost all her stars...pretty good for a girl who can have a tantrum pretty much all day. She is LOVING soccer. She gets sad when her games are canceled which happens a lot because of all the rain we have had. She's actually starting to get the hang of the game and tries to kick the ball and always wants to "kick a goal ball".

It's been a long time!!!

It has been quiet some time since I have written in my blog. It's been crazy busy as usual and life has gotten away from me again!!! So much has been going on I know I can remember to write it all down in one post. Lets start with Mackenzie: She's growing like crazy and getting sassier and sassier! She started playing soccer last week. I'm not sure how much she is going to like it...I'm hoping it just takes her a little bit to get into it. She said she loved it, but I would have guessed otherwise!!! She's enjoying pre-K and can spell her whole first name, knows her street name, and the city she lives in. She can write her name too...thought she writes it completely backwards. She is a lefty!!! I can't believe how big she is getting. She got her first pet this past week. 4 little goldfish. She loves them and she and Brooklynn spend a bunch of time just watching them swim around in their tank. They are going to be the most obese fish ever because she feeds them like crazy! Brooklynn is growing like mad. She chatters on all day, I still mostly have no idea what she is talking about. She likes her baby dolls, reading books, and putting puzzles together. She is finally sleeping all night! I can't believe that she is already 18 months old. She moved up to the toddler class room at school. She is getting bossy!!! The has already mastered the art of the temper tantrum. Oh how I love rolling around on the floor and screaming babies :) Her sister has taught her well!!! Mackenzie and Brooklynn are going to be big sisters!!! That's right...baby #3 is on his/her way. Baby is due Sept 26th, but will be here around Sept 15th I'm guessing. I think we are insane, but here goes nothing! I will post pictures of the girls soon :)
